The end of our first Fun with Touch season ended with a good night out in Roppongi. This party also doubled as a sayonara party as a few club members were leaving Japan to go back to their respective countries. Many good times were had as you can tell from the photos!

FWT is not just a sports club – we are where sports and socializing meets. We have a great group of people all keen to have a good time playing touch rugby and then talking about it over a few drinks at the end of the day.

Every three months or so FWT has a party. The party is for everyone to socialize with each other as well as introduce their friends to the club! The parties are quite well attended, with this particular party having over 100 people!

Every Saturday, we all get together and play touch rugby. Even though it was the end of November, the weather was perfect for touch rugby! The 21st was a little different that usual as before we played touch rugby, the Tokyo Warriors played Sun Body Touch in a competitive match to help them prepare for the All Japan tournament on the 29th November.

The Kanto Touch Super League is the most competitive touch rugby tournament in the Kanto region. FWT has a team called the Tokyo Warriors (red shirts) that compete in this competition.

Touch Tokyo www.touchtokyo.org host monthly social tournaments from April to December. In September, they host their biggest tournament of the year, which the Tokyo Warriors entered in for their first time. This year we were surprised to see NHK come to make a documentary on the Konodai girls touch rugby club. The footage was aired on TV in October.
