FWT New Years Party

Happy New Year and all the best for 2013.

Although we are in the off season, we are planning on having a shinnenkai (New Years Party) to kick off the New Year. The date that we are looking at is the evening of January 19th.

The location of the party depends on the number of people are attending.

FWT Year End Party Details

This Saturday is the last FWT day of the season. We will start things off by playing touch in Ariake from 14.10.
After that, we will go to an onsen in Oimachi to freshen up before having the bonenkai (year end party) at a restaurant called AnAn (in Oimachi).

The details for the bonenkai are as follows:

Cost: JPY 3,000
Menu: All you can drink, BBQ meat, salad, rice, the works!

Kanagawa Prefecture Touch Tournament

This Sunday we will be playing in a social touch tournament in Fujisawa. There are still spots available, so please let me know if you are keen to play.

In regards to the meeting time, lets meet at the north exit of Fujisawa station from 8am. All other details are below in Japanese.

Season end + Bonenkai

There are only two more weekends of touch to go. The final FWT day is on Saturday 1st December. After the FWT session, we will have a bonenkai.

The restaurant is yet to be fixed, but we are planning on holding it in Oimachi. There is a sento there so those players who would like to freshen up after the game can do so. Also, we are looking for an all you can eat/all you can drink deal that is under JPY 3,000 per person.

If you are keen to participate, please let us know ASAP as we need accurate numbers for the booking.

Invitation tournament with the Shanghai Dragons

A FWT team is going to participate in a tournament this Saturday involving a team from Shanghai. As a result, there will be no FWT in Ariake.

For those players participating in the tournament, its red shirt time. If you dont have an official FWT shirt, please bring a shirt that is 70%+ red!

What: Tsujido Touch Tournament
When: Saturday 20th October
Meeting time: 12.00 at Tsujido ticket gates (tournament ends at 16.40)

Also, there is an aftermatch function after the tournament. Its an all you can drink for JPY 4,000!

The 23rd Mitaka International Exchange Festival

JANZ (Japan Australia New Zealand Society) has invited us to promote touch footy at the Mitaka International Exchange Festival this Sunday (23rd Sept). We need a few volunteers, so if you are keen to help out, let me know.

The closest station is Kichijoji (take the JR Chuo line/Keio Inokashira line) and the festival will be held at Inokashira West Park. If you would like to know more information about the event, please click on the following links:

Social touch tournament @ Shin Shibamata

As we discussed during trainings over the past few weeks, tomorrow is the social touch tournament at Shin Shibamata!

Key points for the tournament are as follows:

- We will meet at Shin Shibamata station at 12.15
- We have entered two FWT teams; the Tigers and the Turbos
- Player fee: JPY 2,000
- The tournament includes a BBQ from 13.00.
- We need to bring our own plates, drinks, chopsticks etc, which we will prepare for on the day
- Our team uniform is our FWT shirts. If you dont have a FWT shirt, please bring a red shirt instead
