Fun with Touch (FWT) is one of the newest clubs in Tokyo - and one of the most fun!

Since May 2009, we have been very busy.  We have played touch rugby regularly on the　weekends, participated in social touch rugby tournaments and had some pretty decent parties.  If you have been in Tokyo all this time, and haven’t joined us, then you have been missing out!!  You should check out our photo albums to see for yourself!

2009年の5月から活動を開始し、毎週土曜日に練習を行っています。練習だけではなく様々な大会に出場したり、パーティーも行っています。　東京、東京近郊にお住まいでタッチラグビーに興味のある方は、ぜひ参加して下さい！　活動内容の写真が「フォトギャラリー」よりご覧になれます。

But what is touch rugby you ask?  Well, its quite different to rugby union and rugby league.  Its non-contact rugby thats very easy to learn, requiring very little gear and the best part of all, you can play without fear of getting a serious injury.

タッチラグビーとは？　　ルールはとても簡単です。ラグビーの一種ですが、普通のラグビーと違いタックルの様な危険な行為は禁止されていますので、ケガをする事はほとんどありません。　女性の方でも安心してプレーが出来ます。

Touch rugby does not tackle in the traditional, highly physical way, but instead all you have to do is touch your opponent using your hand(s) on any part of their body, clothing, or the ball.

タッチラグビーは通常のラグビーと違い、タックルの代わりに相手の体や服をタッチして、相手からの攻撃を妨げます。

Generally speaking touch rugby is played with two teams of six players, and when you play with FWT, you will find that we play with both male and female players on the field at the same time making it a very social game indeed!

タッチラグビーは６人ずつの２チームでゲームを行います。大会に出場する場合、男女混合のチームで行う場合もあります。

FWT is not just a sports club – we are where sports and socializing meets.  We have a great group of people all keen to have a good time playing touch rugby and then talking about it over a few drinks at the end of the day.  What more could you want?

FWTはただタッチラグビーをするチームではありません。　スポーツと楽しい事を融合させていくチームです。

If you are curious to know who comes to Fun with Touch on Saturday afternoons, you may not be surprised to hear to its open to anyone and everyone.  We have had a whole range of players both young and old, male and females, beginners and more experienced players from a wide range of nationalities including; Japanese, Kiwis, Aussies, English, Irish, South Africans, Americans, Canadians, Chinese and many more.

タッチラグビーを実際に見学されたい方は、毎週土曜日の午後練習していますのでぜひお越しください。メンバーは年齢層が幅広く、タッチラグビー初心者も沢山います。　日本、ニュージーランド、オーストラリア、イギリス、アイルランド、南アフリカ、アメリカ、カナダ、中国など国籍も様々でとても楽しいですよ。
