Summer Break

Saturday 31st is the last FWT session before the summer break. 

We will be taking a break in August and will return to to Tatsumi on Saturday 11th September.

During this break, there will be no Omori touch rugby, but there is a tournament on August 29th in Saitama, so please keep your eyes peeled for further information for that!!

The Shonan Grass Boys are hosting their 9th annual social touch rugby day.
Date: Saturday 24th July   
    From 9 - 13.00 is touch rugby, 13.00 - 15.00 is BBQ time

Meeting time: 8.30am at the South exit of Tsujido station
Fees: Game fee - Zero  
     BBQ fee - JPY 1,000 / person
We will meet in the morning at Tsujido station and then go to the ground together.

【第9回湘南大会概要】
目的  タッチと海岸バべキューを通してメンバー間さらに各チームの親睦を深める。
日時  7月24日(土)  
     9時~13時      タッチ試合
     13時~15時     海岸バーべキュー
場所  辻堂海浜公園(多目的広場)

今年も全チームを当日の参加者で 振り分けた混合チーム対抗試合を考えています。
チームが組めなければ 個人参加、(他のチームと合同となります)でも結構です。

There is an Omori Touch tournament this July and FWT are looking at putting in a team or two.

Its back to the usual kind of Omori tournament, not what we experienced on June 27th.

  The details for the tournament is as follows:

What: Omori Touch Tournament

When: Sunday 11th July

Where: Tokyo Gas Omori Ground (direct translation of the ground name)

Meeting time:  At the station at 8.45am.  Games start at 9am and everything finishes at 12.00.

Player fees: JPY 1000 for men, 500 for girls

There is an OZ Tag tournament on August 1st.  The details are as follows:

 

What: OZ Tag Tournament (Tokyo Cup)

When: Sunday 1st August

Time: 9am – 5pm

Venue: Katsushika Sports Centre

Closest station: JR Shin Koiwa (Chuo Sobu line) or Aoto (Keisei line)

Entry fee: JPY 1,000 per player

 

There are three divisions; excite, enjoy and beginners.  “Excite” is the competitive category, while “enjoy” is social.  The Beginners division is naturally for first timers.

On Saturday 10th July, the All Blacks will play South Africa in the opening Tri Nations game.  

The kick off is 16.35 Japan time and we will go to Legends bar in Roppongi to watch it.  

We will go there directly after FWT, so please pack your training bag wisely!!
